It'l be all white on the night

Good afternoon everyone I hope you are all having a great weekend.
I have finally bit the bullet thrown all caution to the wind and finally made a white on white card.
Yes I have been making cards for nearly 10 years and have never made one they scare the crap out of me, don't get me wrong I love seeing them as they always look so beautiful but as for doing them Hebe geebies :o0.
So now there is a kind of story behind this card and I must warn you that there is loads going on on the card so heaps of pics but I have paged them together to make less of a chore for you.
The card is a wedding card for a Footie mate of Phil's who is getting Married sometime next week they are flying off somewhere hot to have there nuptials done then coming home for a PARTAYYYYY!!!!!
I decided it would a good idea (when are any any of my ideas good ones!!!) to do a white on white with one added colour which was going to be gold/ copper. My intention was to print off the papers (done)then cut white mats for said papers and emboss edges with gold/copper and tinsel snowflake embossing powder, I did this but for some reason the embossed powder just started to crack and flake off !!!?????? what a waste of an afternoon operation plan B.

Well with all that said I better show you the card and then I will explain plan B

Right the papers I used are exactly the same as the ones I used for the Art Deco card I made I just took the colour out but put hint of red to make it look a bit warmer rather than than the silver grey.
I inked the edges with a copper ink pad which was an old one so a little dry but that was good as I didn't want it to striking(?)
I then decided (plan B)to make the mats out of white card and distress the edges (well you know me haha)and then glitter. I used cosmic shimmer acrylic glue for the job and a big tub of "crystal glitter" I brought back from the states it's the first time I have used it but I will def be using again it's a real chunky glitter (which is why I haven't used it)but very light I thought it might be heavy if you know what I mean.I pulled out all the stops for this card I did the insert in the same way printing off the main paper then the smaller piece with the verse separate putting the image in each bottom corner

I glittered the mat on this too and also coloured the images

you can see the backing papers a little better here too

I made most of the embellishments myself (I think that's why it take me so long to make a card these days lol)I made the spiral stamen using craft wire and micro beads. I made the pearl sprays all individually using craft wire different size pearls and crystals, the butterflies have been embossed with white, copper and tinsel snowflake(I love this powder) and also the studs that are either side of card have been embossed in the same.I punched hearts out of card and embossed these too, now this is what I don't understand I used the same powder ink pad and everything for the mats that ended in the bin as I did for the hearts but they are fine no cracks flakes or peeling it's very strange as my dear friend things happen for a reason (maybe someone was telling the idea was pants and go with plan B hehehe).

All the greetings were printing on my computer and inked then I made 2 into tags adding lace ribbon and string pearls they have also been adges with frosted lace stickle
I added a heart shape doily and some gorgeous pearled lace I saw in dunhelms so I got some just for this card
Now the image is from make it crafty and is called geeky love kiss. When I saw it I knew it was ideal for the couple they have been coloured with my ever trusted promarkers
colours used

Him
Sandstone, soft peach, blush (skin)
Satin, terracotta, ginger, cinnamon (hair)
French navy, dove grey, warm grey 1-5, heather
Fine liner and blender
Her
Ivory, vanilla, saffron (skin)
Sandstone, buttercup, satin (hair)
Glacier blue, sleigh bells,
Fine liner and blender

I also used liquis pearls for his buttons and her earing.

I added pearls to the butterflies and made little pearl flowers that are with the spray and on the greeting.
So I think that is about everything covered on the card,I will leave you with 2 final arty pics of card and image then a list of challenges I would like to enter it into

thank you so much for popping over to see me I love reading all your comments and they always greatly recieved

Wow Jacki! I'm not sure where to start!! I mean holy cow!! I think I will start by saying how impressed I am that you made most of your own embellishments! I am a huge fan of DIY and you have done it with elegance and style! I love it all, there simply aren't enough words! Your white on white story made me giggle...and again you triumphed in an area you were unsure of! Your colouring is fantastic and the entire layout is just dreamy! What a work of art you have made!!

You have my vote, that's for sure!
Big hugs, Pamellia :)
