Hello my lovely peeps,I hope you are all well the weather here although it has gone a tad cooler it's still lovely (oh I love a good hot summer).
Well I have truly settled into my new craft station and I'm falling in love with card making again I can't tell you how good that feels,it's been a long time since like this and I hope it shows in my cards.
I'm not the only one that has taken a shine to my new craft area I now have a crafting partner can you tell who it is
No I don't mean Mickey & Minnie I mean the big ginger lump on the desk, yep Scruff (oh and just to let you know the uneven desk isn't bad workman ship putting the desk's together but it just shows how bad the flooring is unlevel in our house)
Look at that face
So anyway enough about my little man, onto my card
I started this card last night designed it then printed off the papers and image. Then cut everything out and inked up and it was so good to be able to just leave things out to dry and not have to put everything away (meaning the flowers I made).
So when I got back today and could sit and put it together everthing was in one place and dry and ready to go
For my flowers I used coffee filter papers some metal flower shapes (to draw round) spray bottle water and aqua marker
when I had finished the first step they looked like this
to get to this I cut them out (yes by hand) then sprayed with water I used about 3 coffee filters for this then put colour from aqua marker directly onto paper then using a water brush moved the colour around the flower some I did from the centre out some from the edges in. It depends what look you want.
then I started to out the together
using some stamens I brought back from USA to make the centres I layered the flowers using glue gun to stick in place
I used 2 different sizes smaller for the inner part and larger for the outer petals
here is the final batch with leaves a better tutorial can be found here
So with that done now onto my card
I have used papers from http://www.jakheath.com/ they were freebies but that was a long long time ago so not sure if they are still available they are gorgeous so delicate and feminine.
I faux matted them onto some green paper (also freebie) and distressed edges and inked with bundled sage DI the I matted onto white card which was also distressed then inked with spun sugar DI
I added ribbon from stash in a light green organza and a darker green grained ribbon making a double fussy bow on top of this I added a gem
Now the image is from the ubber talented Chelsea Le again and this one is called lovable Avie and isn't she just
I have coloured her in with pro markers colours used are
Here you can see the finished flowers put together.
Finally I popped in a matching insert
using the backing papers to make it and also bringing the image into it I then added a small verse
So there you have my card for today I hope you like it and I will leave you with an arty view and a list of challenges I want to enter it into. Thanks for stopping by and I will see you soon

Your new blog is fab Jacki good to see you back crafting. I love your new desk. I'm still crafting on table in lounge though I must say most of my craft stuff is all over the house. I'm so untidy, yet I still can't bring myself to play about with distress inks. My cards are about the only tidy thing about me LOL. I love the cards you've been making especially this one. I will have to be brave and try those flowers
