New Start New Blog

Hello and welcome to my new blog.
Yes it's still little ole me, but as a lot has happened to me over the last 12 to 18 months in every way possible as much as I love my old blog it didn't feel right, and also with being absent from real crafting for quite a while I also felt a fresh start was needed.
Since I last posted on the blog I have gone from crafting on a little table in the living room to crafting in the kitchen hence the title of my blog and the URL I know certain people will get the joke!!! :o)

I can't guarantee that I will post regular as things in the house of cards as we mow call it it pretty busy but that's life and we have to do what pays the bills

Anyway onto my first card for this new blog.
It's my FiL birthday next week and I was getting a little worried as up until yesterday I hadn't had the chance or the enthusiasm to make anyso I thought I best get my crafting head on pretty sharpish.
Luckily  have a load of images on my PC that are none digi stamps so don't need to be coloured and are a god send for times like these plus I do like using them as they make a nice change from using stamps (digi or not)
I sat at my PC all day friday trying to design 3 cards I had to make for my Fil and even when the clock hit after midnight I hadn't designed as single LO let alone card, then yesterday everything seemed to click into place I ddesigned all 3 and got them printed off for just after lunch. Then we had a visitor for an hour or so and after they went I got cracking onto making and by the time casualty came on I was 3 cards done and dusted and everything tidied away sorted!!!

This card was made for my Mil to send to my Fil so of course it's a husband card
Just like all my other cards all the papers are freebies from blog trains and freebie sites I will try to set a page up with links as and when I get chance in case any one is interested in getting freebies.

I faux matted the papers using a grey paper which I layed the blue ontop of then cut out. I added some blue ribbon to buttons both from stash (byuttons I got from France where Phil took me for my Birthday how lovely is that and a great time was had by us both (oh lala)

the image fottie colours were red but as our family are Baggies fans I had to change it to blue (OK I know it's not navy but it's close enough)

Finally to finish off the card I made a matching insert (as I do with all cards that are sent out)
with a sweet verse and job done
Now we are all in holiday cout down mode here at the house of cards trying to get everything sorted stocked up and orders shipped before we go on opur holly bibs in 3 weeks USA watch out althiugh I must say I am not looking forward to the flight it is going to be a killer on my ears but I am going to raid Michaels like a kiddie in a sweet shop
see you all soon

Wonderful start to your new blog. GREAT card.

I'm glad someone else can take HOURS to get nowhere! LOL I'm like that, then something happens like it happened to you and all is done and dusted. I think the word while thinking about a design is procrastination! at least that's what it seems like.

Keep going and stay happy.
